Sweet Soul Studio is a portrait specialist based in Ashton-under-Lyne, dedicated to creating fine art, emotive portraits that celebrate connection, personality and story. Portraiture is our core expertise — child portraiture in particular is where our heart and soul lie. We focus on the eyes, the small expressions and the quiet moments that reveal who your child really is, and we carefully design each image to reflect their character. My approach is gentle and conversational. I work to put children (and parents) at ease so real moments can unfold naturally. Sessions are relaxed and personal — whether in-studio or on location — and I take time to discuss styling, colours and any special ideas before you arrive. You are welcome to use our gowns and props, or bring your own; everything is planned to create the timeless, fine art portraits you’ll be proud to display. At Sweet Soul Studio the session itself is free of charge. After your shoot you’ll be invited back 7–14 days later to view your fully edited gallery on a beautifully presented slideshow. There’s no hard sell — you choose if and what to purchase. A £99 retainer secures your booking and is deducted from any package you decide on. If you opt for a full package, you can even take home your USB and prints on the day of your viewing. While portraiture is our speciality, we also support related needs: family, maternity and newborn sessions sit naturally alongside our child work, and we bring the same attention to connection and styling to each of these. For businesses and personal branding we offer creative brand shoots tailored to your visual identity — ideal for bold, expressive imagery — and we can also deliver professional portraits or headshots when required. (For a classic corporate look we sometimes collaborate with trusted partners.) Beyond sessions I teach fine art editing and offer mentoring to other photographers, sharing the techniques I use to achieve that distinctive Sweet Soul Studio aesthetic.
