I specialise in portrait photography — creating professional headshots, actor portraits and business portraits from my Baildon studio or on location across the UK. Photography for me is both craft and conversation: I work methodically — pre-visualising each shoot with moodboards and a clear plan — while keeping the session relaxed and collaborative so the real person always comes through. Why choose me? I’ve photographed athletes, actors, corporate clients, fashion shoots and creatives, and I bring that breadth of experience to every portrait. My goal always is quality of work. I don’t produce anything I’m not proud of. I treat every portrait as a problem to be solved: what’s the right light, the right pose, the right mood that tells your story and presents you at your best for LinkedIn, castings or brand use. What makes my approach special is the mix of structure and warmth. Before we shoot I like to have a friendly phone or video call so I understand your brief, the tone you need and any wardrobe or location ideas. I often build a moodboard so we have a visual guide to work from. On the day I keep the atmosphere calm — usually with music, a little direction and encouragement — and we work together until we get the images that feel right. I tether to a screen during shoots so you can see results as we create them and we can refine instantly. I’m obsessive about editing. Final images are carefully refined to respect the subject and the intent of the portrait — not over-filtered, but finished with attention to tone, colour and detail. Whether you need a clean business headshot, a moody actor portrait or a painterly studio piece, I tailor the lighting and post-production to suit the final use. While portrait and business photography are my core focus, I also have experience in events, fashion, sports and video and can work with you to provide additional creative content where needed. Based in Baildon (Bradford/Yorkshire), I’m happy to travel with kit to suit your location.
