I’m Denise (Dee) and at DeeLights Photography I specialise in portrait photography from my base in Bedworth, serving Coventry, Nuneaton and the wider West Midlands. My passion has always been simple: to photograph people as they truly are — relaxed, real and full of personality. I prefer natural, unforced moments over stiff, posed ‘say cheese’ images, because those genuine expressions are the ones families and individuals treasure for years. My approach is warm and unhurried. I like to stay in the background and capture connections and candid moments, stepping in with gentle direction only when needed. My experience began at home — photographing my own children for over twenty years — and I continue to learn from world-class teachers in newborn, infant and children’s photography. That training informs everything I do: from lighting and composition to the small details of posing and comforting nervous little ones. I’m committed to safety, patience and respect on every shoot, especially when working with newborns and young children. I love working with natural textures and simple styling — a boho-chic feel often runs through my newborn and portrait imagery — because it keeps the focus on expression and connection. Sessions are relaxed and client-led: we follow your rhythm, take breaks when needed and let real moments unfold.
