I’m Jonathan (Jona) Jacob — a Bradford-based portrait specialist with a storyteller’s eye and a technical background honed across editorial and specialist photographic roles. Photography was in my blood from an early age; growing up with a permanent dark-room at home set me on a path through art, graphics and photography studies (GCSE, A Level, HND & Degree) and into picture desks, national publications and long-form documentary work. What makes my portrait work different is a blend of calm direction, technical rigour and a documentary sensibility. Time spent as a Police Photographic Officer taught me to read light, place detail and interpret a scene under pressure — skills that translate directly to capturing authentic, confident portraits.
