I’m Morag MacDonald — an award‑winning Bristol portrait photographer who has been photographing boudoir sessions since 2007. My work is rooted in celebrating the female form and helping women reconnect with confidence through carefully crafted studio portraits. My approach is gentle, collaborative and highly guided. Sessions take place in my comfortable home studio in south Bristol where I work in a safe, all‑female environment alongside professional make‑up artists Ruth or Katrina. The first part of your visit is all about you — we spend time on hair and make‑up and settle you into the space with refreshments, calm conversation and clear direction so any nerves quickly melt away. When we start shooting I pose you with attention to light, line and expression so every image reflects your personality and the mood you want to project. I shoot with an eye for classic, flattering lighting and quiet moments: a mix of styled boudoir and considered art nude imagery for women who want beauty, strength and authenticity in their portraits. My sessions are fully guided — I’ll direct posture, expression and hand placement down to the fingertips so you can relax and enjoy the experience even if you’ve never modelled before. About a week after your shoot you’ll return to the studio for a private reveal where we view your professionally retouched images together.
