I’m Stacey Jackson — Darkle — a Burnley-based portrait photographer who specialises in creating intimate, honest images that feel like you. Photography has been part of my life since I was eleven, and after training (BTEC National Diploma in Photography) and hands-on work in photo processing, I discovered the way I love to work: quietly, candidly and with natural light. Portrait photography is my core passion. I favour an unobtrusive, documentary-led approach that lets real expressions and relationships surface without heavy posing. Whether you’re after a personal portrait, a confident professional image for LinkedIn, or a relaxed family moment, I aim to capture something authentic and timeless. My style is intimate, organic and natural — I want your images to feel like memories, not performances. How I work with you: I keep things simple and personable. Before a session we’ll chat about what you want to achieve — we’ll choose a location that suits your mood (I specialise in outdoor portraiture using available light) and I’ll offer gentle direction to help you feel comfortable. During the shoot I move quietly and look for spontaneous, meaningful moments rather than forcing poses. After the session I carefully refine each image in post-production and make your final selection available in a private online gallery. Experience and care matter to me. My background in traditional photo processing taught me to value craft and attention to detail, and that shows in how I edit and present your portraits. I pour my heart into every job, and I enjoy helping clients who may be nervous about being photographed — a relaxed, conversational session usually brings out the best results. While I also photograph weddings and family moments, portrait work remains my specialist focus. Based in Burnley, I welcome commissions across Lancashire and beyond.
