I'm Emma Ledwith, a creative portrait photographer based in Chapeltown (Sheffield). Portraits are at the heart of what I do — I love meeting people, finding the moment that feels true, and shaping images that reflect who you really are. Whether you want a professional headshot for LinkedIn, a confident business portrait for your brand, or a personal studio session with a creative edge, I specialise in making the experience easy, human, and, yes, sometimes a little fun. My approach is rooted in connection and light. I often say I get distracted by beautiful light, and I’ll happily place you in it — that love of natural mood and movement gives the portraits a relaxed, honest feel. I shoot both digitally and on film (Polaroids and experimental film are a particular joy), which lets me offer portraits with different textures and a distinctive, timeless quality. Before a shoot we’ll chat — either in person or virtually — so I can understand your idea, goals, and any nerves you might have. I’ll help you plan locations, wardrobe and the tone of the images so you arrive feeling prepared and calm. On the day I aim to make the session feel conversational rather than staged: a few gentle directions, plenty of laughter, and an emphasis on moments that feel natural. I also offer virtual portrait shoots for clients who prefer to work from home or are farther afield. Why choose me?
