I’m Martin of Wild Bears Photography, a Chelmsford-based portrait photographer who specialises in creating honest, characterful portraits that put people at ease. My approach grew from a love of seeing the world (and a first proper camera on a trip to Costa Rica in 2018) and has been refined through self-taught practice, advice from industry professionals and a course from MoMA. Portraiture is my core focus — I aim to reveal personality, not just a polished surface. What sets my portrait work apart is a relaxed, conversational style that quickly builds trust. I shoot with both natural light and flash, and I offer a mobile studio so we can work on location, or an in-studio session in Chelmsford at selected times.
