I’m Emily — a Chingford-based portrait specialist who believes great portraits come from connection, not stiff poses. My focus is portrait photography: from warm, lifestyle family sessions to confident professional headshots and business portraits. I combine natural light, gentle direction and a calm approach to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera so the photos look and feel like you. My background as a children’s nurse and years of family work mean I’m patient, calm and practised at working with all ages. Family shoots are family-led and relaxed — whether we’re at home, exploring Epping Forest or capturing playful moments around Walthamstow — I aim to document real interaction and personality rather than forcing perfect smiles. I work simply and collaboratively. Before every session we have a pre-session chat so I can learn about your needs and help plan outfits, locations and the right mood. On the day I use natural light and unobtrusive posing, with a little guidance to keep things feeling easy. For studio headshots I offer a relaxed environment with professional lighting and backdrops that still prioritises natural expression over stiff formality. Post-session, I carefully edit each chosen image so the final portraits feel timeless and true to you. I also provide an online gallery where you can view your images and choose the ones that best tell your story or represent your professional brand.
