I’m Penny, an East London–based photographer working from Chingford with a particular focus on creating professional portraits and headshots that work for both personal branding and business use. Although my wider practice covers business and editorial work, for portrait commissions I bring the same careful visual sensibility developed through Fine Art and Media/Communication Studies to produce images that feel honest, considered and immediately usable for websites, LinkedIn and promotional materials. My approach is collaborative and low-key. Before any portrait session I make sure I have a clear brief of the shots you need — whether that’s a crisp LinkedIn headshot, a relaxed three-quarter portrait for a company website or a more creative environmental portrait that shows you in your working context. I’m happy to work in situ at your workplace, an artist’s studio or on location; I also adapt the session to suit quieter, studio-like setups when required. The goal is always the same: to blend in, put you at ease and capture natural moments that communicate personality and professionalism. With experience photographing exhibitions, events and businesses — and regular work for local presses such as EC1 Echo and Waltham Forest Echo — I know how to deliver images that meet editorial and marketing needs as well as personal portraiture. On the day I keep things relaxed and efficient, offering gentle direction so you feel confident and natural in front of the camera.
