I’m Anu — the face behind Baby Bear Photography — and portraiture is at the heart of what I do. Based in Coventry, I specialise in capturing the personality and natural expressions of children and families in a relaxed, friendly environment. Trained by Ana Brandt and Lisa McCormick, I blend a gentle, conversational approach with careful, light-filled set ups to create portraits that feel timeless rather than staged. My portrait sessions are all about your child’s character — those cheeky grins, thoughtful looks and spontaneous moments that tell a story. I offer a mix of light, airy backgrounds and fine-art set ups, plus a few playful props to keep little models engaged. If you prefer the outdoors, I also run location shoots in Coventry (my favourites are Coombe Abbey and War Memorial Park), where children can be themselves and I can capture natural movement and candid smiles. I plan each session with you beforehand so we can choose styles and set ups that suit your family. Sessions typically run 1–2 hours; I work at your child’s pace with plenty of breaks, snacks and silly noises to keep things fun. Family and sibling pictures are always included — I’m a mum myself, so I know how important it is to get parents in front of the camera, too. My home-based studio is intentionally cosy and welcoming, perfect for relaxed portraiture. I keep sessions informal and unhurried so we can find those genuine moments. Whether you want classic, posed portraits or candid, lifestyle images, I tailor each shoot to reflect your family’s personality. Although portrait work is my speciality, I also photograph maternity and family sessions across Coventry, Warwickshire, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Nuneton and the wider West Midlands.
