I’m John Kemp, the photographer behind JK Photography in Derby. I pay particular attention to lighting ratios, background, and subtle retouching to ensure images reproduce well online and in print. The result is a set of professional portraits that present you clearly and confidently. How I work: before the session we’ll talk through the brief so I understand the image you want to present. On the day I usually spend an hour or more photographing a range of poses, outfits and expressions. I shoot plenty of frames because small, natural moments often make the best portraits. After the session I carefully select and edit your images, taking care with colour, crop and gentle retouching. Final files are delivered promptly in formats suitable for web, social media and print.
