I’m Holly Burton — a Doncaster-based portrait photographer and visual artist who specialises in creating evocative, professional portraits that tell your story. My practice grew from a background in performing arts and a first-class degree in photography, and today I bring that theatrical, narrative sensibility to every headshot, creative shoot and studio session I undertake. I position myself as a portrait specialist: whether you need a confident LinkedIn headshot, a refreshed professional portrait, or a creative, editorial-style session, my focus is on capturing authenticity. I work across studio and on-location portraiture, offering mini and maxi sessions as well as bespoke shoots tailored to your goals. Each session begins with a pre-shoot consultation — I’ll listen to your brief, craft a moodboard or shot list where needed, and guide styling and direction so you get images that work for web, portfolio and print. My approach is hands-on and collaborative. I enjoy creative direction, prop sourcing and location scouting, and I’m happy to advise on hair, makeup and outfit changes to get the best from each moment. For actors, creatives and professionals I offer testing and headshot sessions designed to make even camera-shy clients feel at ease — gentle conversational direction and thoughtful lighting help create natural, powerful images. While portraiture is my core expertise, I also produce lifestyle and business imagery for brands and small businesses. These sessions sit alongside my portrait work and are designed to deliver professional imagery you can use across websites, social media and promotional materials. If you have a larger campaign or a bespoke brief, I offer extended sessions and commissioned work to suit.
