About the Photographer

12 Years of Experience
Established 2013

I’m Kelly, the photographer behind Memory Cake Photography, and portraiture is where I live and breathe. Based in Egham, I specialise in studio portraits that are relaxed, creative and full of colour — the kind of images that feel honest and timeless rather than stiff and staged. I’m obsessive about light and colour, and I work instinctively with natural and available light to create portraits that look sumptuous and true to you. My approach is simple: human connection first. Whether you’re booking a personal portrait, a family studio mini-session or a business headshot, I focus on making the session calm and enjoyable so real expressions and personality come through. I’ve photographed toddlers who won’t sit still and camera-shy adults who discover a confidence they didn’t know they had — that gentle, conversational style is how I get the best results. I treat every brief as a small collaboration: we talk before your shoot, I offer styling ideas and a short guide when needed, and on the day I steer the session with warmth and humour so you can relax and be yourself. While portrait photography is my core expertise, I also offer professional business portraits and headshots suitable for LinkedIn, company websites and personal branding. These are delivered with the same eye for composition and colour, but tailored to present a polished, confident image for work. I don’t present corporate stiffness — I capture professionalism with personality. My studio work often takes inspiration from fine-art portraiture (I love Dutch Masters–style available light) and I run occasional studio mini-sessions and workshops for those who want a more creative experience. Every portrait session includes considered editing to ensure images feel natural, clean and ready to display. If you’re in or near Egham and want portrait images that look beautiful and feel like you, get in touch. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and turning those moments into photographs you’ll return to again and again.
