I’m Julian Austin and portrait photography is at the heart of what I do. Based in Faversham and working from a purpose-built studio in Sittingbourne, I specialise in creating professional portraits that look natural, confident and unmistakably you. My aim is to make the whole experience easy and enjoyable — whether you need a crisp LinkedIn headshot, a timeless family portrait or a flattering maternity session. My approach is simple and client-focused. I tailor every shoot to your needs: from a quick LinkedIn session to longer family or maternity sittings, I guide you through wardrobe, pose and expression so you get a varied gallery to choose from. If you’re nervous in front of the camera I’ll put you at ease with friendly direction and live review of images so you can see the results as we work. For business portraits and headshots I balance clean, professional lighting with relaxed direction so you come away with images that work online, in print and across social media. With almost two decades of photographic experience, I bring technical skill and a calm studio manner to every session. Sessions take place in our bright, well-equipped studio (shared with Sittingbourne Balloons) where there’s plenty of space, free parking and a comfortable environment for families and individuals. After your shoot I carefully edit your chosen images — colour, contrast and minor retouching — and deliver them through a private online gallery so you can review and order at your leisure. While my primary focus is portrait work, I also photograph family and maternity sessions as part of the same portrait expertise. My priority is capturing authentic moments and flattering, professional images that you’ll be proud to use and display.
