I’m Sarah Jones — a Hemel Hempstead portrait specialist who believes every portrait should feel personal, effortless and true to you. From my comfortable home studio in Hertfordshire I focus on portrait work as my core expertise: individual portraits, family sessions, maternity bump shoots and newborn captures. My aim is to help clients feel relaxed and confident so the photographs show real moments and natural expressions, not stiff poses. Why choose me? My approach is warm, conversational and tailored. After a career in finance I followed my passion for photography and studied with experienced professionals, gaining diplomas and practical experience along the way. I’m a member of The Guild of Photographers and The Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers — memberships that reflect the care I put into craft and client service. I’ve built a friendly, welcoming studio in Hemel Hempstead where clients of all ages can feel at ease. What makes my sessions different is the personal touch. Whether you come for a Feeling Fab portrait, a relaxed family shoot, a bump session, or newborn portraits, I take time to plan with you — a pre-session chat about styling, props and any meaningful items (scan photos, tiny shoes, favourite toys) that make the images unique. In-studio sessions are cosy and patient; I’ll work at your pace so babies and children are comfortable, and I’m fully DBS-checked for newborn and child sessions. My style favours natural light and calm direction: candid moments combined with a few timeless posed images. I offer both studio and location options (woodlands, parks) depending on the look you want. Pets are welcome too — the studio is pet friendly and I enjoy including furry family members in portraits. While portrait work is my specialism, I also occasionally provide product and commercial photography on request.
