I’m Kristy Garland — a Heswall-based portrait photographer specialising in professional portraits, business headshots and brand identity imagery across the Wirral and Liverpool. Previously a digital media producer in London, I moved into photography and have worked as a unit stills photographer since 2016, capturing key art, publicity stills and BTS for feature films and BBC productions. That background means I understand both the creative and technical needs of advertising and press — and how to create imagery that performs across web, social and marketing. What makes my approach special is the focus on authenticity. Whether it’s a succinct LinkedIn headshot, a business portrait for a company website or a longer brand identity shoot for artists and entrepreneurs, I look for the small, telling moments that communicate personality and professionalism. I shoot in simple studio setups when needed, and on location for environmental portraits that show you doing what you do best. My style is thoughtful, natural and cinematic — designed to give you a cohesive library of images that work across platforms. How I work: I like to plan a short brief with you in advance so we can agree tone, location and wardrobe. On the day I create a relaxed atmosphere, guiding posture and expression while remaining unobtrusive. After the session, you’ll receive a curated gallery of images to choose from, with edited, high-resolution files delivered ready for use in profiles, press, websites and marketing.
