I specialise in portrait photography from my base in Hove, bringing a focused, studio-honed approach to professional portraits, business headshots and LinkedIn photos. Portraits are my core discipline — I aim to create images that look authentic, polished and ready to represent you or your business with confidence. My visual journey began with a Contax II handed down by my grandfather, and more than 20 years later that sense of seeing the world through a lens still informs everything I do. After a retained editorial role and years working across the Middle East — shooting reportage, sports and corporate documentaries — I returned to the craft of portraiture with a refined eye for light, composition and character. That breadth of experience means I know how to translate personality into a single frame, whether for a CEO’s corporate portrait or an actor’s headshot. The way I work is deliberately collaborative and calm. Every project starts with a conversation about purpose and tone: where the images will live, who they need to speak to, and the mood you want to convey. In the studio I use professional lighting and mobile backdrops to sculpt flattering, purposeful images; on-location shoots benefit from the same attention to lighting and detail. I’ll direct gently and practically to help even camera-shy clients feel at ease, so expressions and posture look natural rather than forced. All images are finished to high standards — I retouch using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, applying subtle enhancements, colour grading and finishing touches so your portraits are polished but still genuine. For business portraits and LinkedIn photos I pay particular attention to crop, eye contact and tone so the final files perform across professional platforms.
