Kippax portrait studio by BIPP Associate Phillip Shannon. Specialist professional headshots and business portraits for LinkedIn, PR and company profiles, shot in studio or on location with in-house retouching.
I cut my teeth in commercial photography and have been creating professional portraits and business imagery ever since. Based in Kippax near Leeds, I bring over two decades of studio and location experience to every headshot and corporate portrait I make. As an Associate member of the BIPP I work to a professional code and a practical, results-driven approach that helps businesses and individuals present their best selves. My specialism is commercial portraiture — clean, confident headshots for directors, team profiles, PR campaigns and LinkedIn presence. I understand that a great business portrait must communicate personality, professionalism and purpose in a single frame. Whether you need a pared-back corporate headshot, a more creative model portrait to sit alongside a jewellery or product campaign, or a set of staff images for a company website, I’ll help you find the right look and lighting to match the brief. Working with me is straightforward and collaborative. We begin with a short briefing to establish tone, usage and timing. Shoots take place in my Kippax studio or on location at your premises if that better suits the brief. I bring professional studio lighting and the same commercial discipline I use on advertising work — careful posing, considered backgrounds and attention to detail — so even camera-shy subjects feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. All post-production and retouching is carried out in-house, which gives you full control of the final image and keeps production efficient and cost-effective. You’ll receive proof images for selection, I’ll undertake the agreed retouching, and deliver high-resolution files optimised for web or print. My portfolio includes PR and broadcast shoots (examples include BT and Radio Aire) and a wide range of commercial commissions, so I’m used to delivering images that work across websites, brochures and media outlets. If you’d like to improve your personal brand or update your company’s portrait gallery, I’m happy to discuss packages and practical options to suit your budget and timescale. I also run online photography tutor courses for those wanting to learn more about making stronger portraits themselves. Get in touch to discuss your portrait brief — I’ll help you create professional images that truly represent your business.
