About the Photographer

I specialise in portrait photography and run a relaxed portrait studio rooted in the Glens of Antrim. As a native of the area, I bring local knowledge and a calm, personal approach to every session — whether you choose studio portraits or prefer the character of an on-location shoot. My aim is simple: capturing that special moment with natural, honest images that feel like you. My portrait work centres on making people and pets feel comfortable. I work with families, individuals and pet owners, guiding you through poses and expressions with a gentle, conversational style so even the most camera-shy subjects relax. Studio sessions give a controlled environment for timeless, clean portraits; location shoots use the unique light and scenery of our area when you want something more atmospheric and personal. I believe the process matters as much as the final image. Before every shoot I take time to understand what you want — the mood, the purpose and any special details. On the day I keep the atmosphere easygoing and professional, offering practical direction while looking for spontaneous, authentic moments. After the session I help you choose the best images and offer a range of print, canvas and mounting options, plus a personal, customised framing service to suit your home or gift needs. Many clients value the chance to view a full gallery in person; my collection is available for viewing at 6 Mill St, Cushendall. Prints can be supplied framed, mounted or as canvas pieces, sized to your requirements. Whether you’re commemorating a family milestone, updating portraits of a beloved pet, or creating a portrait to display at home, my focus is on creating images with warmth and longevity. If you want a portrait photographer in the Ballymena area who combines local roots, a considerate studio experience and a passion for natural, well-crafted images, I’d be pleased to work with you. Get in touch to discuss a portrait session and we’ll plan an approach that fits your style and needs.
