I’m Mon from Monagraphs — an Edinburgh-based portrait specialist who creates empowering, timeless images for women and professionals. Portrait photography is my core practice: I work with women who are wild at heart and with business owners who need authentic, professional visuals. Many of my portraits are made outdoors among Scotland’s dramatic backdrops—lochs, coastlines and woodland—because nature helps people relax, reconnect and reveal their true selves. I also work in urban Edinburgh settings and in studio-style headshot sessions when a polished, professional look is needed for business portraits and brand use. Working with me is a collaborative, carefully paced experience. We begin with a discovery call and moodboard so I understand your story, values and the visual language of your brand. I’ll guide outfit choices (you’ll have access to my client wardrobe of over 40 bespoke gowns), select locations that enhance your narrative, and coach you through poses and moments so even the most camera-shy clients feel seen and comfortable. All images are thoughtfully edited and retouched by me to maintain authenticity while presenting your most confident self. As a photographer who draws inspiration from art, literature and nature, I seek out unusual textures and compositions to give each shoot a painterly, timeless quality. I keep my schedule intentionally limited to offer a VIP, bespoke experience for every client—this focus allows me to craft photoshoots that are personal, unhurried and deeply considered. I also offer brand and business portrait sessions tailored for heart-led creatives—artists, healers, writers and small-business owners—who want visuals that reflect their energy and values. Occasionally I photograph maternity sessions as well, but my primary expertise and reputation remain with empowering female portraits and professional brand photography in Edinburgh and across the Lothians.
