I’m Gail — a Glasgow-based portrait photographer who believes great portraits come from relaxed moments, not awkward posing. With over 28 years working professionally (including press and PR commissions for national publications), I’ve developed a simple philosophy: photography should feel easy, personal and true to life. I like to think of photography as painting with light, and I use that approach to create portraits that are honest, colourful and full of character. On the day I offer gentle direction, conversational prompts and plus a few fun moments to bring out genuine smiles. The result is a balanced mix of posed and candid images that feel natural and modern. I’m based in Clarkston, near Glasgow, and travel across Scotland for sessions.
