I specialise in portrait photography from my base in Inverness, bringing more than 30 years’ experience to every headshot and corporate portrait session. My work is rooted in traditional photographic craft — I began with film and hand‑held light meters and still shoot large format and black & white when the project calls for it — but today I work largely in digital to deliver the image files businesses and individuals need for web and print. My approach is straightforward and collaborative. I photograph on location, outdoors or at your premises, and I’m equally happy working in my study when a controlled studio-style portrait is needed. I work quickly and conversationally to put people at ease, adjusting lighting and background to suit the role and the message the portrait needs to convey. For teams I’ll help create a coherent set of images so every member looks confident and consistent while keeping each portrait individual. Deliverables are tailored to your use: high-resolution files for print, optimised files for web, or both. I also partner with designers, printers and web developers if you need images integrated into brochures, press material or a new site — a service I’ve provided alongside photography for many commercial clients.
