I’m Judy — a portrait specialist based at Dainty Fern Studios in Newman's Garden Centre, Aberystwyth. My focus is simple: to create luxury, bespoke and timeless portraits that become family heirlooms. As a fully trained newborn and baby photographer I blend technical skill with a calm, personal approach so every session — whether maternity, newborn, sitter or family — feels relaxed, safe and genuine. Safety and comfort are central to my work: newborn sessions are baby‑led, I only book one baby session per day and I draw on specialist training and one‑to‑one mentoring to handle each baby with confidence. My style spans elaborate fine‑art set ups to simple lifestyle portraits. I’ll guide you through poses that flatter and capture emotion, but I also love documentary moments — the soft, candid interactions that feel utterly true. Before your session we’ll have a phone or video consultation to plan colours, outfits and any special ideas. On arrival you’ll be offered a drink, we’ll chat through the set ups and I’ll help everyone feel at ease so the session unfolds naturally. The creative journey continues after the shoot. Images are carefully selected and hand‑edited (or lightly edited if you prefer a lifestyle look) with attention to detail so each portrait has that polished, timeless finish. I also offer bespoke presentation options — wall art, albums and folio boxes — to turn your favourite images into tangible keepsakes.
